Former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum is returning to KKR but this time in a coaching role.

McCullum will take over as the head coach of the Caribbean Premier League side Trinbago Knight Riders, according to ESPNcricinfo.

He has played 101 Test matches for New Zealand and scored 6,453 runs with the highest score of 302. He featured in 260 ODIs and amassed 6,083 runs with a strike rate of 96.37

Brendon McCullum will retire from all forms of competitive cricket after the end of Global T20 Canada.

McCullum’s association with KKR goes back to the first season when he set the stage on fire in the first-ever IPL match with an unbeatable 158-run knock.

He was an integral part of the KKR squad for five seasons and also led the side in the 2009 season.
