An employee of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation allegedly committed suicide on Sunday.

Police said he was hanging himself in his rented house here and streamed the act live on Facebook.

The victim, 27-year-old Shubhankar Chakraborty, hailed from the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.

No suicide note was found in his room. he was found hanging from a hook in the ceiling with a plastic wire around his neck in house.

Chakraborty had a fight with his father who visited him two days ago.

The live stream of Facebook allegedly showed him climbing on top of a cooler, wearing the uniform of Delhi Metro. He looked into the camera few times before taking his life, kissing his identity card twice. In the background, a mobile phone kept buzzing as he was allegedly to hung himself.

Friend Suryakant Das of Chakraborty informed Farsh Bazar police station about the incident at so around 9.05 am.
