Arun Jaitley is now on life support in AIIMS, still critical

Jaitley was admitted to AIIMS Hospital at 11 am last Friday, August 9. According to doctors, he was having trouble breathing. AIIMS announced the bulletin later that evening, saying that a team of doctors was monitoring Jaitley’s health and his condition was stable at present. Home Minister Amit Shah, Prime Minister Modi and Health Minister Harsh Vardhan also visited Jaitley at AIIMS Hospital.

Arun Jaitley’s soft tissue cancer treatment was underway. He traveled to New York on January 13 to treat the illness and returned in February.

“I am happy to be home,” Jaitley tweeted after returning home from the US. Earlier, Jaitley had stopped going to office from April 2018. He was later admitted to AIIMS Hospital. At that time his kidney was transplanted. He then resumed office again in August. However, in May 2019, he had told Prime Minister Modi that he would not be involved in the new government.
