Mahindra Bolero Power Plus launched at Rs 7.49 lakh in India

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., has launched a Special Edition of its flagship brand; the Bolero Power+ at Rs 7.49 lakh.

The special edition Mahindra Bolero Power+ comes with features — Special Edition Decal, Special Edition Scuff Plates,Special Edition Seat Covers, Special Edition Carpet Mats, Special Edition Steering wheel cover, Front Bumper with Fog Lamps, Spoiler with Stop lamp. Rest of the equipments in Bolero Power+ are the same as the regular variant of Bolero.

Mahindra says that the entire Bolero range is now compliant with pedestrian protection as well as side impact collisions norms. The Bolero has been the company’s workhorse from quite a long time. It was speculated that the model will be discontinued soon. However, it looks like there could be a BS-VI update coming soon for the model, come April 2020.

It is also expected that an all-new Bolero could be in the works given that the noose is tightening with respect to emission as well as safety norms. Mahindra may also put in a CNG-equipped motor under the hood of the Bolero to meet emission norms. All this and more details, only time will tell. Under the skin, the car remains unchanged. The vehicle is powered by the 1.5-litre mHawkD70 diesel engine tuned to deliver 70 bhp and 195 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The BS-VI-compliant model will be launched in early 2020.
