More than 2.7 Lakh unit sold of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in last 5 years

Maruti Suzuki India has sold more than 2.7 lakh units of Ciaz. Launched in 2014, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is one of the most popular premium sedans around and is presently available in the price range of Rs 8.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Rs 11.38 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz comes in four variants — Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. According to the carmaker, the top-spec Alpha trim contributes to over 54 per cent of the total sales of the premium sedan and Metro and Tier 1 markets account for more than 50 per cent of the overall Ciaz sales.

Maruti Suzuki India also claims that Ciaz has over 30 per cent market share in the premium sedan segment.

It rivals against the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is available with three engine options. There is a 1.5-litre K15 Smart Hybrid petrol engine that makes 105 hp and 138 Nm of torque. There is a 1.5-litre DDiS 225 diesel mill that delivers 70 hp and 225 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Then there is the 1.3-litre DDiS 200 Smart Hybrid diesel motor that churns out 90 hp and 200 Nm of torque. It comes with a 5-speed manual transmission  

So far as colour options are concerned, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz gets a total of seven — Nexa Blue, Metallic Magma Grey; Pearl Midnight Black, Pearl Sangria Red, Pearl Metallic Dignity Brown, Metallic Premium Silver and Pearl Snow White
