Realme TV may launch in India soon

1 Mins read

Realme is planning to enter the smart TV segment in India. The Realme TV is said to launch in India before the year ends ; and will mark the company’s entry in the smart TV segment. According to a new report by 91mobiles, the Realme TV will look to take on Xiaomi’s Mi TV in India. Realme has been going head to head with Xiaomi in the smartphone segment; the rivalry was bound to spill over to other segments as well.

The first Realme TV is expected to launch in India in the coming months, 91mobiles reports based on industry sources.

Realme is yet to reveal that it is working on a smart TV and there is no information on what this TV will look like. In fact, the report does not shed light on what the screen size of the Realme TV will be or whether it will be an affordable offering from the company.

Realme will have its work cut out as Xiaomi is currently dominating the smart TV sector in India. Xiaomi recently announced that it sold over 2.5 lakh Mi TV units during the Diwali With Mi sale; further solidifying the company’s position as the number 1 smart TV brand in India.

The features and specifications remain unknown at the moment, but we can tell you that the company will announce its first TV before the end of this year.

If the Realme TV launch in India is true, the company plans to end 2019 in a big way. Realme has already confirmed that it will launch the Realme XT 730G and Realme X2 Pro flagship smartphone in India in December. It is possible that the company will use the same launch event in December to announce the Realme TV, but only time will tell.
