Google has removed yet another app from Play Store trying to imitate TikTok. The tech giant has now removed Zynn, a Chinese clone of the video-sharing app.

The app has been accused of plagiarism. This has happened days after Google removed the Indian alternative of TikTok, Mitron app.

As per a report published in Wired, many TikTok users have alleged that their content was uploaded on Zynn without their consent. Users have also complained that their accounts have been clone completely on the Zynn app. Their name, pictures, and videos have started appearing on the clone app and the people have no idea how their content got transport to the app without their permission.

Zynn became one of the most downloaded apps in the US after it was launched in the first week of May. The app was launched on Google Play Store and App Store. In both platforms, it featured under the top ten most downloaded app. While the is not available on Google Play Store, App Store still has the Zynn app.

The reason behind Zynn’s sudden growth was its reward programme where the users got paid for watching videos on the app and for also making other users download the app.

As the report, users got $1 for joining the app, $20 for getting another user to join the app, and $10 for making five other users join the app.

Similar to this clone, an app called Mitron had surfaced last month which gained immense popularity among Indians due to sentiments against Chinese products and applications.

The app was, however, removed from Play Store. Google claimed that it violated a few Play Store policies. The app was put online after the developer had fixed the issues.
