Famous Urdu Poet Shri Rahat Indori passes away after testing COVID-19 positive

Famous Urdu poet Rahat Indori died at a hospital in Indore in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. He had tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday.

He was Covid positive in ARDS, Renal Failure, T22 Diabetes mellitus, hypertension, old cad , left eye glaucoma. He was on ventilator support,” medical authorities at the Indore hospital confirmed to Media.

Earlier in the day, Indori tweeted saying he was tested for Covid-19 after showing initial symptoms and his result had come positive. 

“After showing initial Covid-19 symptoms, I was tested for the virus on Monday and I am declared positive for the virus today and have been admitted to Aurobindo hospital,” Indori had written.

The acclaimed poet has also written famous songs such as Neend Churai Meri for the film Ishq. He has also written M Bole To for Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., Dil Ko Hazar Bar for Murder and many more.
